Butterfly Kisses

Bidding has now ended on the Butterfly Kisses painting with the winning bid at £110. The winner is donating the painting to the Butterfly Trust for displaying in their Edinburgh premises - in memory of Jac's sister Frances Ann. Rather fitting, especially as painting is based on the trust's ethos :-)

High School Reunion Party

Tickets on sale NOW!!!

There are a couple options for you to purchase tickets –

1. We have left some in the Innishmuir pub next to Essence and you can get them there.
2. If you are willing to pay an extra £1 you can transfer the money into the Team Glasgow bank account and we will post tickets out to you (just send an email to teamglasgow3@gmail.com)
3. If you live in Glenboig you can get tickets from Victoria's parents house, anyone who doesn’t know where that is email at the above address and we will give you the details.
4. If you see Tony Diver or myself out and about then we should have some tickets on us.

Please be aware that you will not gain access to this event if you do not have a ticket.

To attend you MUST have attended St Patrick’s High School or taught there and have been in sixth year (even if you left in 4th year just work it out) between 1999 and 2001!! The reason for this is that it was originally a 10 year High School Reunion for Victoria's year group but due to health reasons had to be postpone and now we have opened it up to the year above and below. Victoria was in classes with both year groups. We apologise if this excludes you but we may in the future organise a full blown reunion

Old classmates are permitted to bring along a spouse/partner or friend to keep them company on the night. There will be no buffet at this event to keep costs down and raise as much money for the Charity as possible. There will be a raffle with some lovely prizes (anyone wanting to donate please get in contact we appreciate everything) and our host for the evening is Mr John O’Brien who is an amazing Stand Up comedian as well as an old St Pats pupil so look forward to some funny stories!!

Please pass on this information to any old classmates, we need to raise as much money as possible!!

Butterfly Trust Auction

The gorgeous Jac has created this lovely painting below to be auctioned off for The Butterfly Trust.

Jac spent the whole of last week creating this special painting, with the trust in mind.  Their aim is to support people with Cystic Fibrosis in Scotland, and the butterfly logo represents people with CF being helped to open their wings and fly – therefore she used the butterfly image in this painting to reflect that ethos.

Hopefully this will make a little bit of money for this great charity!

Sad Day

Today Team Glasgow said goodbye to their good friend David.

David like Victoria, Kirsty and Jac had Cystic Fibrosis and needed a double lung transplant but unlike them David never received his. David was a wonderful guy, sarcastic and often at times blunt to the point of winding people up but that was all part of his charm. He went on the transplant list a few months after Victoria and although his health was bad he was strong and a figher plus a big support to the Team Glasgow girls when they had any transplant related problems. David was a massive supporter of Team Glasgow and often spoke about joining once he got his new lungs, unfortunately did not come to pass but David is now and will always be the fourth member of Team Glasgow!!!

David was a young man taken before he had the chance to fully be what he wanted to be, Cystic Fibrosis took this from him!! David could have been saved though and wasn't because not enough people are signed up to the Organ Donation Register!! David felt strongly about this subject and would want all of you who aren't signed up to think about it and if you decide you want to sign up then do it, don't put it off, don't say you are undecided, make a decision and run with it. It didn't save David but I know for a fact right now he doesn't want this to happen to anyone else.

We let one amazing person leave us, don't let anyone else. Be a hero and be an organ donor!! Save a life like David's xx
